Justin Moore led the Orange to three-straight NCAA championship appearances, including as the 16th seed in 2018.

Syracuse women’s rowing head coach Justin Moore has decided to leave Syracuse and collegiate coaching, SU Athletics announced in a release Wednesday afternoon.

The 2017 ACC coach of the year, Moore has spent eight seasons as SU’s head coach and has led the Orange to three-straight NCAA championship appearances from 2016-18, along with two-straight Atlantic Coast Conference runner-ups in 2016 and 2017.

At Syracuse, Moore coached 22 All-conference, 10 All-region and five All-American rowers. His departure comes just one day removed from the Orange women’s team qualifying for the NCAA Tournament as the 16th seed.
