Last season, his first year as a full-time slot receiver, Philips hauled in 90 receptions.

Wide receiver Ervin Philips broke the Syracuse all-time receptions record against Florida State on Saturday. The senior wide receiver’s 10yard catch near the end of the third quarter gave him 202 for his career, breaking Alec Lemon’s record which had stood since 2012.

Philips started his career as a running back before becoming a hybrid player in his second season in a new offense. His junior year was a career best for him. In his first year as a full-time slot receiver, Philips caught 90 balls, the second-highest mark in a season in SU history behind then-teammate Amba Etta-Tawo.

Philips ended the game with 12 catches for 107 yards.

Here’s a look at the updated SU record list.

1. Ervin Philips — 207 receptions

2. Alec Lemon — 201 receptions

3. Steve Ishmael — 192 receptions

T-4. Scott Schwedes — 139 receptions

T-4. Shelby Hill — 139 receptions
