Two  Syracuse University students arrested as part of an investigation into the death of an SU freshman in April are no longer enrolled.

Bronic Roberts, then a freshman in the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, was arrested on April 14 for one felony and two misdemeanor drug charges and is no longer listed in the SU Directory System. His arrest was part of an investigation into the death of Marianne Guppenberger, a freshman who died after falling out of a window in Brewster Hall on April 6.

Police said Roberts admitted selling mushrooms to Guppenberger’s friend.

Cameron Moulene, a student in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, was also arrested on April 13 for one felony and two misdemeanor drug charges as part of the same investigation.He is also no longer listed in the SU Directory System as being enrolled.

The university released a statement in April saying both Roberts and Moulene had been suspended and removed from campus.

Police said detectives found drug paraphernalia, marijuana, one-eighth of an ounce of mushrooms and $1,000 in Roberts’ room. After executing a search warrant, police also found marijuana, a few tablets of Adderall and $5,000 in Moulene’s room.

Both cases are pending, meaning neither student has been indicted. In New York state, felony cases can be indicted up to six months after an arrest.

In April, the Syracuse Police Department said there was no indication Guppenberger’s death was criminal.

Sgt. Tom Connellan of the Syracuse Police Department didn’t immediately return an email and phone call.

A Freedom of Information request for Guppenberger’s toxicology report was denied, because that information is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
