Chancellor says thoughts are going out to those affected by the Boston Marathon attacks in campus-wide email
Chancellor Nancy Cantor sent out an email to students, faculty and staff on Tuesday morning saying “thoughts and prayers” are with those affected by the attacks at the Boston Marathon.
Three people were killed and at least 170 were injured when two explosions went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon. President Barack Obama described the explosions as “an act of terror” on Tuesday.
Cantor said in the email Syracuse University has a variety of counseling services available for anyone who feels they need support, such as the Counseling Center, Hendricks Chapel and the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.
She also said anyone who has been directly affected by the attacks can contact the Office of Student Assistance or the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.
