SU student robbed by 3 attackers early Monday morning

Three men assaulted and robbed a Syracuse University student early Monday morning, cutting his face, arm and legs, according to a Syracuse Police Department news release.

The student was in the area of Comstock Avenue and Harrison Street at about 2 a.m. when he was approached by three male robbers, who then demanded the student’s money and phone, according to the release.

One of the robbers punched the student, causing him to lose his balance and slip on snow, according to a Department of Public Safety notice sent to all students. No weapon was displayed during the robbery.

The robbers stole the student’s property and fled toward Thornden Park, according to the SPD release.

The first robber is described a black male, 6 feet, 1 inch in height, 190 pounds and in his early 20s with a goatee, according to the release. The second is described a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 190 pounds, according to the release. The last robber was described as a black male in his early 20s, and no further description is available, according to the release.
